Anne has long considered it her mission to bring words and images together with the aim of helping readers absorb information enjoyably. With a background in painting and English literature at Bennington College, Anne got her start as a graphic designer at The Industry Standard magazine. From there, she moved back to her hometown of New York City, where she worked as a production designer for Victoria's Secret and Us Weekly.

She has worked as a page designer at the San Francisco Chronicle, a marketing designer at Yoga Journal and Vegetarian Times magazine, and now works as a freelance designer for Blue Canoe Clothing and Benioff Children’s Hospital, among others.
